Contract Type: Fixed term, approximately 12 months maternity cover
Our wonderful staff team are excited to be looking for a new team member and team player to join us at Warren Wood Primary School. Applications are invited from colleagues who are passionate, inspirational and highly motivated about teaching and learning and who can make a substantial impact on our continuous improvement towards raising standards. The role in the first instance will involve a class teaching responsibility in our KS2 team.

You will need to be able to demonstrate your role as a ‘facilitator of learning’, utilising good observational skills enabling you to learn the behavioural patterns of the children you work with, appreciating that we all learn in different ways and with the correct guidance and support, we can achieve our potential. You will need to be dedicated, understanding, highly motivated and have excellent communication skills to effectively engage pupils in their learning and to also share appropriate and purposeful feedback with staff to support learning for children within our KS1 team.
A clear understanding of how to effectively teach phonics and early reading would be advantageous.

Demonstrate a creative approach to the curriculum in term of planning and delivery
Have excellent organisational skills and enjoy a challenge, being responsive to change and new initiatives
Be able to maintain good relationships with parents and multi-agencies
Be willing to contribute fully to the life of the school
Have an inclusive approach to learning and understanding of SEND practices
Candidates should state their curriculum strengths and interests in particular how they could contribute to the extra-curricular life of the school.
