Newport Pagnell Medical Centre has an exciting opportunity for a hardworking, enthusiastic and innovative prescription clerk to join our practice. This role is offered on a part time basis, hours are negotiable and can be discussed at interview. The successful candidate will report to the prescriptions lead and t he main responsibilities of the role include: Process prescriptions and provide an efficient and safe system of medication reviews Liaise with all relevant parties, including face to face, phone contact and email with patients, clinicians and other health care professionals regarding medication queries Ensure all administration duties and patient requests are processed in accordance with practice policy Process repeat prescriptions on a daily basis, ensuring compliance with the practice protocol Perform regular searches on drugs requiring monitoring For further details, please see the attached job description. About the Candidate The successful candidate will: Have strong written and verbal communication skills Experience of dealing with the public Competent using Microsoft Word/Excel and electronic prescribing Previous experience working as a prescriptions clerk desirable About Us Newport Pagnell Medical Centre is a large training practice based in the town of Newport Pagnell, with two further sites in the area.
