Senior Director of EMEIA-Quality Varian (f/m/d)
We are seeking a Senior Director of EMEIA-Quality for Varian (f/m/d) to lead quality activities across the EMEIA region with a focus on R&D in the global Varian radiotherapy portfolio. This role is based in the broader EMEIA region with responsibilities spanning Finland, Germany, Hungary, and India.
Responsibilities
* As Head of Quality, EMEIA, provide strategic leadership for multiple global quality teams, develop a high-performing organization and foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.
* Define and develop the quality management strategy for the EMEIA region in alignment with global quality management systems, quality and business objectives; collaborate with various Business Areas/Line Teams to meet these objectives.
* Manage communications with authorities and oversee processes to meet internal and external regulatory requirements.
* Oversee budget planning for global quality programs and align the budget with the appropriate organizational unit.
* Analyze and develop local quality data to identify problems or deviations.
Qualifications and Experience
* Completed studies in engineering, life sciences, regulatory affairs or related fields.
* Extensive, relevant experience in quality management within a highly regulated environment, ideally in medical technology, imaging, diagnostics, or similar.
* Long-standing technical and disciplinary leadership experience in large, geographically distributed teams in a matrix organization, ideally with emphasis on quality, R&D, regulatory affairs and post-market.
* Strong experience collaborating with authorities and solving complex regulatory questions.
* Ideally familiar with agile, Lean and digital transformation processes in a regulatory context.
* Deep knowledge of EU MDR/IVDR, ISO 13485, MDSAP and relevant national requirements, plus experience with integrated quality/regulatory management systems and digital tools.
