Job Description
We’re partnering with a market‑leading healthcare manufacturer & distributor to appoint a Senior Procurement & Logistics Manager. This is a senior, hands‑on leadership role responsible for guiding the procurement function, developing people and driving excellence across supplier strategy, cost control and operational performance.
A key position at the heart of the business: you’ll lead, mentor and inspire your team while being the visible champion of procurement both internally and externally. You’ll balance strategic direction with day‑to‑day execution – ensuring best value, resilient supply and long‑term supplier partnerships that fuel company growth.
The Role
You’ll take full ownership of the procurement and logistics strategy, leading a highly capable team to deliver best‑in‑class results. You’ll set clear objectives, coach and develop your people and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Working closely with sales, operations and finance, you’ll ensure procurement decisions align with business goals, drive margin improvement and underpin service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Leading and developing the procurement and logistics team to deliver outstanding performance and growth
* Defining and executing long‑term procurement and supplier strategies
* Overseeing supplier selection, negotiation and contract management to secure best value and reliability
* Building strategic supplier relationships that promote innovation and sustainability
* Using data‑driven insights to identify risks, optimise spend and enhance efficiency
* Partnering cross‑functionally to align procurement with operational and commercial objectives
About You
We’re looking for a strategic, people‑focused leader who thrives on developing talent, influencing stakeholders, and driving change. You’ll bring:
* Demonstrated success in leading procurement teams within a fast‑moving, commercial environment
* Strong negotiation and supplier management expertise
* A proven track record of delivering cost savings and process improvement
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
* Confidence in data analysis, systems and procurement tools
* Degree‑level education in Business, Supply Chain, or related field

* £65,000 – £80,000 Base Salary
