Our client are seeking a detail-orientated Estimator to prepare competitive tenders and working closely with clients to deliver successful projects.
Description of the role
* Review tender enquiries, specifications, and contract conditions.
* Prepare estimates, tender submissions, and attend review meetings.
* Ensure all construction methods comply with health, safety, and quality standards.
* Conduct site visits and assess factors influencing cost and construction methods.
* Source materials, plant hire, and subcontractor quotes; calculate costs and overheads.
* Support contract handovers and maintain compliance with company procedures.
* Mentor and support junior staff to develop skills and competence.
About you
* You will have experience with industrial buildings and civil engineering projects.
* Civil Engineering or equivalent degree would be advantageous.
* Experience in substation construction.
* Strong knowledge of construction methods, cost estimation, and health & safety legislation.
