We are looking for a skilled and motivated electrically biased Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our Engineering Team. What You'll Be Working On
Our engineering team maintains and supports a wide range of production and automation equipment, including:
Fruit grading equipment
Flow wrapping machines
Robotic case packers
Strappers
Palletisers
Conveyors
Pumps
This role offers excellent exposure to automated production systems, fault finding and continuous improvement projects within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will support the smooth running of our production and packing operations by ensuring equipment is maintained to the highest standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
Carrying out planned, preventative and reactive maintenance across site equipment and machinery
Diagnosing and resolving electrical and mechanical faults quickly and effectively
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability
Working closely with production teams to plan maintenance activities and minimise operational disruption
Assisting with equipment upgrades, installations and commissioning projects
Maintaining accurate maintenance records using CMMS systems
Managing critical spare parts inventory and sourcing replacement components when required
Ensuring all maintenance activities are completed safely and in accordance with company procedures and health and safety legislation
Supporting root cause analysis and implementing long-term corrective actions following equipment failures
What We're Looking For
Essential:
Previous experience as a Multi-Skilled Engineer or Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing, production, food processing or similar environment
Strong electrical engineering background with mechanical maintenance capability
Recognised engineering qualification such as:
Electrical Apprenticeship
City & Guilds
ONC/HNC
NVQ Level 3
18th Edition
Equivalent engineering qualification
PLC fault finding and diagnostic experience
Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills
Experience using Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
Excellent understanding of health and safety requirements
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across departments
Desirable:
Experience working within food manufacturing, fresh produce, packaging or automated production environments
Continuous improvement experience
Working Hours
The role operates on a rotating shift basis, primarily covering:
07:00 - 19:00
12:00 - 00:00
Some 09:00 - 21:00 shifts may be required during quieter operational periods.

£57,750 per annum
