The role – Teaching Assistant
We are seeking an experienced and committed Teaching Assistant to join an outstanding primary school in Southwark. In this Teaching Assistant role, you will provide both one-to-one and small group support, helping pupils engage fully in their learning and make meaningful progress.
As a Teaching Assistant you will work closely with students with ASD and challenging behaviour, using a calm, patient, and consistent approach to support their individual needs. As a Teaching Assistant you will assist in implementing tailored strategies, support behaviour management, and help create a structured, positive learning environment.
For this Teaching Assistant role you will be working alongside class teachers and the SENCO, you will play a key role in promoting students’ academic development, as well as their social skills, confidence, and emotional wellbeing, ensuring they are able to reach their full potential.
