Job Overview

Outpatients Reception Supervisor - Band 4

37.5 hours - permanent

We are looking to recruit a reliable and enthusiastic individual to join our busy team in providing a professional and effective Reception and clerical service for the Trust's Outpatients Service.

The Outpatient reception rota covers 7 days a week. Staff are required to cover shifts between 7am and 8pm, Monday to Sunday, including Bank holidays. The successful candidate must support the flexibility of the rota.

Computer literacy is essential, as you will be expected to input and extract information from various Trust Patient Administrative Systems.

The successful candidate will supervise the Outpatient Reception Team daily, ensuring efficient support services are delivered to the Trust seven days a week. They will also support the Assistant Directorate Manager with operational duties for outpatient activities.

To assist in planning and circulating the weekly rota for all General Reception areas. Rota and Health roster experience is desirable, as this forms a significant part of this role.

The candidate must be flexible to cross-cover shifts across the 7-day rota as required.

This role requires an enthusiastic, competent, and proactive individual with an understanding of confidentiality. The candidate should build good working relationships, confidently deal with internal and external contacts, prioritize tasks, and maintain high standards with accuracy and attention to detail.

Applicants should be excellent communicators, including telephone skills, capable of engaging with the general public daily, and maintaining a positive approach to customer care.
