Job Title: Supervising Social Worker
Location: Regionally based covering Peterborough & Kings Lynn
Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time

Salary: £41,000 - £43,000 per annum (including £3,000 car allowance)
The East of England is full of local children and young people looking for foster homes. To help them, join the family of foster carers who, according to Ofsted, create ‘Outstanding outcomes for children’. As a creative, resilient, and responsible member of our team, you will be at the heart of helping to create happy homes for young people and their carers – homes where incredible futures can begin.
The role
As a member of our team of social workers, you will understand the life-changing potential of a safe and supportive home life. You will play a key role in helping vulnerable children and young people find foster homes that can transform their future. Your responsibilities will include supervising and advising foster carers, ensuring both carers and children receive the support they need to thrive.
You will visit homes, maintain contact with carers and young people, and serve as an essential point of contact, acting as a safeguarding champion with everyone’s best interests at heart. We keep caseloads lower to reduce risk and to offer a more bespoke, person-centric focus, allowing more time to work closely with young people and carers to deliver the best outcomes.
You will collaborate with our clinical teams to identify and provide appropriate support, including occupational therapy, art therapy, and specialists in trauma and attachment theory. As a key team member, you will ensure our children and young people are safe, well looked after, and that our high standards are maintained. Through your dedication, you will inspire carers to grow in confidence and achieve their potential, positively impacting the children they care for.
Who we are looking for
You will be passionate about creating positive lives for children and supporting foster carers. You should be confident, imaginative, and hold a BA or MA degree in social work, with registration with the appropriate professional body and a full driving license. Previous social work experience with children who have trauma and complex needs is essential.
You should be eager to take on responsibility and benefit from our support systems. Sharing your skills and experience to help the team excel is also important.
What’s in it for you?
Your health and wellbeing are priorities, and you will receive an exceptional reward package, including:
* Up to 39 days annual leave (including bank holidays and options to buy extra days)
* Life Assurance
* Pension scheme with flexible contributions
* Access to mental health support and physical health checks through “Your Wellbeing Matters”
Additionally, through our Flexible Benefits Platform, Vista, you can choose benefits such as:
* Health, wellbeing, and insurance benefits
* Discount options in the UK and abroad
* Cycle to Work Schemes
* Electric Car Purchase Scheme
* Critical illness cover
Most importantly, your role will have a meaningful positive impact on the lives of children and vulnerable young adults, aligning with our commitment to safeguarding and promoting their welfare. We are an Equal Opportunities Employer.
