The Role
Smile Education is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join a welcoming early year setting in Greater Manchester. This role involves supporting children aged 0–5 years, helping to create a safe, nurturing environment where children can learn, play, and develop.
You will support children’s learning through play-based activities, helping them develop social, emotional, and communication skills in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
What You’ll Do
Support children’s learning and development through play-based activities
Plan and deliver engaging activities such as arts, storytelling, music, and sensory play
Supervise children during play, learning, and outdoor activities
Assist with daily routines including snack times, hygiene, and rest periods
Observe and record children’s progress in line with EYFS
Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
Maintain a safe, clean, and organised nursery environment
What You’ll Need
Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years / Childcare (essential)
Ability to support children within nursery staff ratios
A caring, patient, and energetic approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Paediatric First Aid (desirable)
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)What We Offer
