Job Overview
ASR Forwarding Ltd is seeking an experienced and motivated Business Development Manager to join their team in Basildon, Essex. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth, identifying new business opportunities, and building strong client relationships within the freight forwarding sector.

Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve sales targets and company objectives
* Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities across ocean, air, and road freight
* Build and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing clients
* Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities
* Prepare and present tailored proposals to clients
* Collaborate closely with operations, sales, and finance teams to ensure seamless service delivery
* Represent ASR Forwarding at industry events and networking opportunities
Requirements
* Proven experience in business development within the freight forwarding or logistics industry
* Strong knowledge of ocean and air freight; experience in road freight is a plus
* Demonstrated ability to generate leads, win new business, and achieve sales targets
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
* Self-motivated, autonomous, and results-driven
