Position- Warehouse operative Ilkeston - Derbyshire - Based Company. hours of work 8am -4pm. Part time - 24 - 40 hours per week. warehouse and stores person. Receiving Goods : Unload delivery vehicles, check incoming goods against paperwork, and inspect for damage or missing items. Inventory Management : Accurately record stock levels using warehouse systems, conduct regular stock checks, and manage stock rotation procedures. Storage : Safely store goods in appropriate locations, using lifting and loading equipment as needed. Order Fulfillment : Pick, pack, wrap, and load items for dispatch, ensuring orders are prepared accurately and on time. Maintenance : Keep the warehouse and storage areas clean, tidy, and organised. Health & Safety : Adhere to all company and site-specific Health & Safety rules, wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and following safety guidelines for equipment operation. Equipment Operation : Operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand-held scanners safely and efficiently. Essential Skills & Attributes Physical Fitness : Ability to perform tasks involving manual handling, lifting, bending, and stretching. Organisation & Efficiency : Strong organisational skills to maintain order and ensure productive workflow. Attention to Detail : Crucial for accurate stock counting, order picking, and checking paperwork. Teamwork : Ability to work effectively as part of a team, and also to work autonomously. Computer Literacy : Familiarity with computer systems, including warehouse management systems and basic Microsoft Office applications.
