We are seeking a part-time phlebotomist to join our established and friendly phlebotomy team. This post is for 14 hours per week over four days, ideally Tuesday to Friday with clinics running in the morning to early afternoon. Flexibility to work additional hours to cover holiday periods is also desirable.
The successful candidate will be responsible for obtaining blood samples from the age of 16 years and older in a professional and caring manner, demonstrating a high standard of infection control and good working practices.
The applicant must have a caring attitude and the ability to put patients at ease.
You must also have excellent organisational and time management skills, be IT literate and be able to carry out assigned tasks effectively in a busy environment. With good communication skills you must have the ability to work well as part of a team but also work independently managing your own clinic in a timely manner. Willingness to adapt to change at short notice is essential.
Previous phlebotomy experience is desirable but training would be considered for the right candidate. We are also advertising for an administrative role and would consider candidates that are interested in undertaking both roles. We currently have two phlebotomists who undertake both phlebotomy and reception / administrative duties
