Warehouse Operator
Shift Pattern - Day Shift
MON-THUR - 5am - 3pm
38hrs per week
We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Warehouse Operative with a valid forklift license to join our team. The successful candidate will support the warehouse section of our production facility, working closely with the icing production team to ensure raw materials and finished goods are moved, stored, and dispatched accurately and on time.
Operators will receive training in food hygiene and good manufacturing practice processes.
You will be required to work as part of a team and must be able to read and write in English and have an understanding of weights and measures.
Production changes from day to day with a variety of different products being made, on the job you will learn about a variety of products and processes which will make you a valuable asset to this family run business.
Responsibilities
* To organise your designated work area in the most cost and time effective manner to meet production output as specified in the works order/production plan.
* To ensure that best health & safety practises are adhered to.
* To ensure that your work area is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and all equipment is maintained in good working order.
* The jobholder shall conduct themselves at all times in a professional manner, and shall ensure that all personnel responsible to the above shall conduct themselves in accordance to the Ingram Brothers Code of Conduct Policy.
* To adhere to all H.A.C.C.P.'s.
Main Job Activities
* Safely operate a forklift truck to move raw materials, packaging, and finished pallets of icing.
* Load and unload deliveries, ensuring goods are checked, stored, and recorded accurately.
* Maintain stock organisation within the warehouse, ensuring products are stored in line with health, safety, and food hygiene requirements.
* Supply production lines with raw materials and remove finished goods promptly to maintain workflow.
* Carry out stock counts and assist with inventory control processes.
* Keep warehouse areas clean, safe, and compliant with company and legal standards.
* Report any equipment faults, safety hazards, or stock discrepancies to the Warehouse Supervisor.
* Support general warehouse and production activities as required.
Experience
* Previous factory experience is preferred, with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes.
* Familiarity with operating forklifts; certification will be required.
* Mechanical knowledge is preferred.
* Experience working within a manufacturing facility is highly desirable.
