Real Estate Finance Associate – Two Opportunities (1–3 PQE and 2–6 PQE) – Elite International Law Firm – Central London
About the Firm
An elite international law firm with a highly regarded real estate finance practice is continuing to invest in the growth of its London team. The firm operates a fully integrated global platform and advises a broad range of financial institutions, private equity sponsors, credit funds and owner‑operators on complex, cross‑border real estate finance transactions.
The London practice plays a central role within the firm’s global real estate and financial markets offering, working closely with colleagues across Europe, the US and Asia.
The Roles
The firm is hiring two real estate finance associates, at different levels, to support continued growth in transaction volume and complexity.
Associates work on a wide range of real estate finance matters, acting for both lenders and borrowers on domestic and cross‑border transactions. The work spans acquisition and development financings, portfolio and single‑asset transactions, structured and subordinate financing, fund and REIT finance, and secured and unsecured lending. There is also exposure to restructurings, recapitalisations, loan portfolio sales and distressed situations.
The team is known for lean deal staffing, close senior lawyer involvement and a strong emphasis on commercial, solutions‑focused advice.
What They’re Looking For
Hire 1 – Junior Associate (1–3 PQE)
* Experience in real estate finance or a closely related banking and finance practice.
* Exposure to acquisition or development financings and secured lending structures.
* Strong technical foundations and a desire to develop within a market‑leading real estate finance team.
Hire 2 – Mid‑Level Associate (2–6 PQE)
* Strong experience advising on real estate finance transactions.
* Exposure to more complex or large‑scale financings, including portfolio transactions or recapitalisations.
* Ability to take increased responsibility and manage workstreams on sophisticated matters.
Across both hires:
* Experience acting for lenders and/or borrowers.
* Strong commercial awareness and confidence working on complex transactions.
* Comfortable operating in lean teams with direct senior lawyer and client exposure.
Why Apply?
This is a compelling opportunity to join a high‑quality real estate finance practice within a leading international platform. Associates benefit from exposure to sophisticated, market‑facing transactions, meaningful responsibility from an early stage and close collaboration with senior lawyers. The firm offers top‑of‑market remuneration and an attractive bonus scheme, alongside strong long‑term development prospects.
