Flintstone Technology is a dynamic engineering company based in Dundee, Scotland, specializing in the design and manufacture of innovative permanent mooring solutions for the global energy sector. Since its founding in 2012, Flintstone has built a reputation for delivering high-performance solutions including hull and seabed connectors and tensioning systems. Now part of the Bekaert Group, Flintstone operates with the agility of a small team—currently around 16 employees—while benefiting from the backing of a global industrial leader. The company fosters a collaborative and forward-thinking culture, where every team member plays a vital role in driving innovation and delivering excellence to clients worldwide.
Purpose and Mission
* Build on the reputation already developed at Flintstone to grow business in mooring and heavy lifting markets in oil, gas and renewable energy markets.
* Achieve project sales into the mooring and lifting market.
* Develop the services side of the business – testing, inspection.
* Develop the long-term sustainable business model working closely with the General Manager.
* To maintain and develop the solution selling approach.
* Part of Flintstone Management Team.
Key Activities and Responsibilities
* Achieve revenue and profitability targets.
* Selling existing products and capabilities to project teams at earliest stage with focus on technically demanding projects.
* Identifying any requirements for additional engineering work.
* Working closely with colleagues at Bekaert.
* Prepare technical and commercial bids for new and existing projects.
* Prepare bids for existing or modifications to those products in consultation with technical department.
* Look out for new opportunities (working with Business Development)
* Providing market Feedback
* Sales Forecasting in conjunction with General Manager
* Develop the marketing of Flintstone including promotional material, exhibition and conference attendance, social media and website.
* Working with the GM to develop a set of goals and a strategy to advance those goals.
Qualifications and Experiences
Requirements & Experience:
* Solid technical background.
* Preferably a BSC or equivalent in mechanical engineering.
* Willingness to travel globally as required.
* Work with sales agents (eg Brazil)
* Develop a sales plan to encourage cross business unit cooperation and cross selling
* Recently moved or wishes to move into sales.
* The marine offshore market, the contractors and energy companies.
* Experience dealing with oil and gas operators.
* Excellent relationship building
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Microsoft Office suite.
* Broad understanding of project execution process from pre feed to final delivery.
* Mooring system and heavy lift application knowledge.
* Experience in customer facing roles
