About the Role
Biesse Group UK is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Accountant to join our Finance team in Daventry. This role has a strong focus on balance sheet reconciliations while ensuring compliance with UK GAAP and IFRS. You will play a key part in the monthly close process, support audits, and contribute to the accuracy and efficiency of our financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations (main focus of the role).
* Ensure compliance with UK GAAP and IFRS standards.
* Review and approve Concur expense claims, liaising with business areas as needed.
* Support the audit process, providing required documentation and analysis.
* Perform bank reconciliations, including Kyriba cashflow matching.
* Complete intercompany cash pooling reconciliations.
* Manage month-end Oracle activities, including closing/opening of AP, AR, Inventory, GL, and Purchasing.
* Create and post Oracle accounting entries and journals (cost re-allocations, prepayments, etc.).
* Provide backup support for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable (urgent payments, invoice posting, cash allocation, and sales order release).
* Process and validate intercompany invoices, ensuring accurate reconciliation of statements.
* Support inventory and machine stock-taking.
* Prepare and submit VAT returns, with a focus on car lease invoicing.
* Assist with corporate tax calculations and submissions.
* Monitor and reconcile suspense accounts.
What We're Looking For
* Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
* Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS.
* Proven experience in reconciliations, month-end close, and statutory compliance.
* High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Effective communicator, able to work independently and collaboratively.
Desirable Skills
* Experience with Oracle EBS and/or Excel4apps.
* Advanced Excel skills and solid knowledge of Microsoft 365.
* Experience with Kyriba and intercompany cash pooling.
