My client, a leading business services group, is seeking to hire an IFS Operations & Maintenance (O&M) consultant to play a key role in a major transformation programme, shaping how O&M processes are designed and delivered within a modern ERP environment. This is a high-impact role which will influence how field service operations are standardised, optimised, and scaled across the business.
This role will take:
* ownership of the end-to-end design of O&M processes for a critical transformation wave.
* work at the intersection of business and technology, ensuring operational needs are translated into practical, system-enabled solutions within IFS.
* take ownership of the design of core service processes including work management, preventive and reactive maintenance, scheduling, technician execution, and service reporting.
Responsibilities:
* Leading O&M process discovery and designing the target operating model
* Defining roles, responsibilities, and cross-functional ways of working across O&M, Supply Chain, Finance, and Projects
* Owning and prioritising the O&M requirements backlog
* Ensuring alignment between business needs and system design
* Establishing KPI frameworks to drive operational performance
* Supporting change management, including training and adoption planning
* Leading business readiness for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and securing sign-off
Requirements
* Strong background in O&M or field service operations (renewables experience is a plus)
* Proven experience in ERP-enabled transformation programmes
* Track record of leading process design across global or multi-site environments
* Ability to engage stakeholders and drive alignment across functions
* Practical understanding of field execution realities and operational controls
* Familiarity with IFS service management concepts (e.g. work orders, planning, mobile debrief)
* Experience in O&M performance improvement or optimisation programmes
