Introduction:
I'm hiring for a Finance Manager – Technology to join our high-performing Group Finance team, based in Hertfordshire. This is a rare opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional who has proven experience business partnering with Technology functions to step into a role with direct exposure to C-level stakeholders, including the CIO and CTO.
This role is instrumental in helping the organisation drive digital transformation, innovation, and technology investment decisions through insightful financial guidance and challenge.
You'll be involved in/key responsibilities:
* Serve as the Finance Business Partner to Technology Directors across multiple strategic initiatives, transformation programmes, and BAU operations.
* Work closely with the CIO and CTO, influencing key decisions through commercial insight and financial acumen.
* Own and deliver budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning cycles for the Technology function.
* Develop and challenge investment business cases, ensuring value for money and alignment with the group's strategic priorities.
* Deliver clear, actionable financial analysis and reporting on Opex, Capex, and project spend within Technology.
* Partner with Procurement, Commercial, and Project teams to drive cost efficiency and accountability.
* Drive improvements in financial processes, controls, and reporting related to Technology.
* Provide leadership to junior finance analysts (where applicable), fostering a high-performance culture.
Candidate Profile:
* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
* Demonstrable experience in a Finance Business Partnering role, with direct exposure to Technology stakeholders (ideally within a large matrix organisation or FTSE/blue-chip environment).
* Commercially astute, with experience supporting IT budgets, transformation programmes, or digital investment initiatives.
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the gravitas to influence and challenge at Director and C-suite level.
* Ability to work autonomously, with a proactive and solutions-focused mindset.
* Excellent financial modelling, analysis, and presentation skills.
Desirable:
* Experience in a complex, multi-site or international organisation.
* Exposure to Agile or Technology delivery environments.
