Vacancy for Finance Lead - Purchase to Pay
Location: Wallingford - hybrid (will be required to work in the office 2 days a week)
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and forward‑thinking Finance Lead – Purchase to Pay (P2P) to oversee CABI’s end‑to‑end financial processing within the P2P cycle. In this role, you will be responsible for all finance‑related P2P activities across our global footprint, ensuring accurate invoice processing, supplier account integrity, compliant financial controls, and timely payment execution.
A core priority is to support CABI’s evolution from geographically dispersed P2P teams and processes into a unified global finance P2P function. You will ensure consistent short‑term service delivery while driving medium‑ to long‑term improvements in process efficiency, standardisation, internal controls, automation, and service excellence.
The role reports to the Finance Director and works closely with global Procurement teams, who retain responsibility for sourcing, contracting, vendor selection and approval. You will collaborate with them to ensure seamless hand‑offs, strong supplier governance, and disciplined financial stewardship throughout the P2P cycle.
This role requires a collaborative and hands‑on leader capable of balancing operational oversight with strategic transformation, while leading and developing a globally dispersed finance team.
