We leverage advanced geoscience and data analytics to explore for natural hydrogen and are expanding our team.
Job Summary: The Geophysical Applications Specialist will provide expertise in on-shore geophysical data acquisition, processing, interpretation, and technology application to identify subsurface formations suitable for natural hydrogen. Experience with seismic and potential field data, especially at the play to prospect scale, is essential. Regional evaluations and prospect maturation experience are highly desirable. This role involves integrating geophysical methods with our exploration strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Apply seismic and non-seismic geophysical techniques to evaluate subsurface formations for hydrogen.
* Design passive and active source geophysical surveys (2D/3D seismic, EM, gravity, MT, Acoustic Noise Tomography).
* Perform seismic interpretation, attribute analysis, inversion, and risk assessment.
* Integrate geophysical, geological, and geochemical data for subsurface modeling.
* Utilize interpretation tools such as Petrel and MOVE.
* Prepare technical reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geophysics, Geoscience, or related Earth Science.
* At least 5 years of geophysical experience in resource exploration (oil & gas, mining, geothermal, CCS, or hydrogen preferred).
* Expertise in various geophysical and potential field techniques.
* Knowledge of near-surface geophysics, passive seismic, or geoelectrical methods is a plus.
* Familiarity with subsurface imaging workflows and data integration.
* Proficiency with geophysical software and interpretation tools.
* Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
* Knowledge of rock physics, petrophysical analysis, or fluid substitution modeling relevant to hydrogen rocks.
Why Join Us?
