Overview
We're looking for a Health, Safety and Wellbeing (HSW) Adviser to join our MEP team team in the North.
Location: Flexible. This role will be supporting the Kier Mechanical and Electrical business working on projects predominantly located within our Northern and Scotland as well as Eastern and Midlands business units. Business Unit: Kier Mechanical & Electrical.
We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.
Key Responsibilities
* The role will require regular delivery of internal training packages such as the Kier Construction Behavioural Safety Programme “Think Safety Differently”.
* Conducting regular site audits and inspections to identify safe and unsafe working practices, providing practical recommendations for improvement.
* Supporting the implementation of Construction Phase Plans, Electrical and Mechanical Safe Systems of Work, and Wellbeing strategies.
* Promoting and participating in Kier's Behavioural Safety Programme; Think Safety Differently.
* Collaborating with project teams and supply chain partners to ensure consistent HSW standards.
* Contributing to accident investigations and developing preventative measures.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience in construction safety, health and wellbeing, with a good understanding of HSW legislation.
* Working towards or having achieved Chartered Membership of IOSH (CMIOSH) or another relevant professional qualification.
* Collaborative with excellent communication skills, able to build relationships at all levels.
* Organised and able to manage your own workload effectively.
* Caring about making a positive difference to people's wellbeing and safety at work.
