Overview
You will be providing technical support to projects throughout SMD and liaising between Customers, Engineering and Project Managers to provide clients with quality product, commissioned to the requirements of the project and specification. You will diagnose and fix faults, perform functional testing of equipment, ensure test paperwork is correctly completed, demonstrate systems to customers, answer technical queries, and participate in continuous improvement and QA checks. Travel worldwide where required to work both on land and offshore and work off site as necessary. You will work as part of the Production team as required.
Responsibilities
* Provide technical support to projects throughout SMD and liaise between Customers, Engineering and Project Managers to deliver quality products per project requirements and specifications.
* Ensure vehicles and associated equipment are correctly manufactured.
* Diagnose and fix faults; perform functional testing of equipment.
* Ensure test paperwork is correctly completed and demonstrate systems to customers.
* Answer technical queries and participate in continuous improvement and QA checks.
* Travel worldwide where required to work both on land and offshore; work off site when required.
* Collaborate as part of the Production team as required.
Qualifications
* Relevant HNC qualification
* Time served technician with fault finding experience
* Control & Instrumentation experience
* Basic mechanical & hydraulic knowledge
* Basic PLC knowledge & experience
* Offshore Survival certificates (desirable)
