Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to help deliver our regulatory responsibilities, placed on us as the Enforcement Authority for the Reservoirs Act 1975 in England. The Reservoirs Act helps to ensure the safe operation and management of dams.
Role and Responsibilities
* As an officer in the Compliance and Monitoring team, part of the Reservoir Regulation team, you will be responsible for monitoring compliance with the Reservoirs Act 1975 for the 2140 reservoirs in England.
* Manage our day-to-day correspondence.
* Record incoming documentation on our database to ensure that our records are accurate and up to date.
* Encourage compliance when reports or certificates are not received as expected.
* Be the first point of contact for reservoir owners and panel engineers.
* Provide information and advice on the requirements of the Act.
Working Pattern and Team
This role is a part-time job share (22.2 hours per week). We are committed to an inclusive workforce and welcome flexible working patterns for all vacancies. You will join the Environmental Assessment and Reservoir Regulation department within the Flood & Coastal Risk Management (FCRM) Directorate. The Reservoir Regulation team is a nationally dispersed team of 25+ members responsible for regulating the more than 2140 large raised reservoirs in England. Some travel and overnight stays will be required.
