Overview

Medivet Weymouth, England, United Kingdom

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly and supportive team at Medivet Weymouth – a busy, well-established branch led by an experienced and clinically progressive Branch Partner. Located in the seaside town of Weymouth on the Dorset coast, the practice offers a high standard of patient care, strong teamwork, and a warm community feel, making it an excellent place to thrive both personally and professionally.

This is a full-time permanent position covering 40 hours per week, but part-time arrangements for the right candidate will be considered. The caseload is varied and includes a good balance of consultations and surgery, making it ideal for a veterinary surgeon who enjoys both elements of practice life and wants to build meaningful, ongoing relationships with clients and their pets. The Branch Partner has a strong interest in soft tissue surgery, regularly performing complex procedures, which provides opportunities to observe and contribute depending on experience and interest.

Weymouth is a fantastic place to live and work – from the golden sandy beaches and working harbour to the charming town centre and access to the Jurassic Coast. It’s a great location for those who enjoy coastal activities or a slower pace of life outside of work, while still being well-connected to other towns and cities in Dorset and beyond.

If you're a confident, compassionate vet looking to join a progressive, welcoming practice in a scenic part of the country, we’d love to hear from you.

For an informal conversation about the role, please contact joanne.gray@medivet.co.uk.
