Overview
We are looking for an outstanding and experienced manager to join our team. Situated in the thriving Georgian quarter of Liverpool, we are a privately owned, award winning hotel (Best Hotel - Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards 2015, Best Large Hotel - Silver Award - Visit England Awards for Excellence 2014) Best city hotel- Times 2020. With 151 bedrooms and suites and first class private dining, conference and events spaces, a spa, executive lounge, and private cinema, we are also expanding to include a club-room and suites and bedrooms.
The hotel has 2 restaurants - The London Carriage Works a 2 AA Rosette restaurant, and 1931 a relaxed dining restaurant. The position is restaurant manager of The London Carriage Works.
Responsibilities
You as a Restaurant Manager (This section describes the key duties of the role.) Reporting to the Head of Restaurants & Bars you will be responsible for the running of one of the hotel’s restaurants, ensuring at all times that the service and product offered to our guests is of the highest standard whilst maintaining and driving the profitability of the business at all times. The monitoring and implementation of training will be a key focus, creating a strong work ethic and a strong, professional team of staff, with your presence needed on the key nights over the weekend.
You will have impeccable levels of presentation, and will be required to maintain a managerial presence on each service, providing an example to all staff and checking regularly on customer’s experience.
You will also be required to cover duty management shifts, and to deputize in the absence of other managers in the food and beverage department, so event supervisory experience is desirable.
Skills and Experience
Your Skills and Experience as a Restaurant Manager
Previous experience in management is preferred or this would be a good step up for a strong assistant manager. Experience in a similar style of restaurant/hotel is also desirable. A passion for customer service is essential to ensure that every guest and visitor receives a personal service that is consistent and in line with The London Carriage Works’ standards.
You will have good commercial awareness and be an active role in helping achieve departmental profit margins, liquor GP and food and beverage sales.

Salary is negotiable and based on experience
