NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
The shift pattern for this position is Monday-Thursday 16:30-19:30 and Friday 16:30-19:18. Salary is pro rata for part-time hours.
Responsibilities
* Work within the kitchen and ward areas to provide an efficient, high-quality catering service to patients, staff and visitors.
* Take patients' food orders and serve food at ward level; work alongside NHS staff.
* Keep all areas of the kitchen clean and replenish supplies.
* Use cleaning agents safely and in accordance with manufacturers’ instructions.
* Operate electrical equipment, e.g., Burlodge Regen Oven and Dishwasher.
* Wear protective clothing supplied by the Department and complete daily/weekly sign-off sheets for relevant areas, including HACCP paperwork.
* Maintain a flexible approach to daily routine.
