Brightwork's client is currently recruiting a Mechanical Technician who will be responsible for maintaining and improving a wide variety of plant machinery with a focus on reactive and planned preventive maintenance.
Please note that this is a nightshift role - Mon - Fri
Responsibilities
Perform reactive maintenance to ensure machinery operates at optimal performance levels.
Overhaul, adapt, and carry out improvements on existing machinery.
Mechanically biased role with some electrical work involved.
Replace bearings, inspect compressors, and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Maintain and repair equipment including conveyors, pipework, hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding tasks.
Identify continuous improvement opportunities within the plant and suggest new methods and procedures.
Complete all documentation to a high standard.
Carry out basic facility and site service maintenance as needed.
Qualifications
Mechanical bias with Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
Mechanical experience, preferably in hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and general plant machinery.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-driven environment
A flexible, team-oriented attitude with the ability to adapt to different tasks and shifts as required.
Knowledge in continuous improvement and new working methods.
Day Shift
42.5 hours per week
