Job Title: Stores Assistant
Reports to: Head of Project Delivery
Working Hours: 20 hours across 5 days (Flexible on hours worked)
Location: Thyson Office in CH65 4LX
Primary duties
* Protection and preservation of stock and goods receipting material on the SAP system.
* Receiving and inspecting deliveries to ensure accuracy and quality of goods.
* Organising and storing inventory in designated locations, maintaining order and accessibility.
* Updating stock records using inventory management systems or manual logs.
* Issuing materials and supplies to internal departments as requested.
* Monitoring stock levels and notifying supervisors of low or surplus items.
* Conducting regular stock checks and assisting with audits and inventory reconciliation.
* Maintaining cleanliness and safety in the storage area, complying with health and safety regulations.
Requirements
* Experience of work in a Stores environment, ideally within an Engineering company.
* Forklift Truck license (training will be provided if required)
* Basic IT skills such as Microsoft Word, Excel.
* Experience of using a SAP system would be beneficial but not essential – training will be provided.
* Ability to take ownership, be passionate and take pride in your work.

Pay
The salary banding for this role is £13,520 (£13 per hour) and is based on an applicant's skills, training and competence.
