Our client is a successful family-run construction expert based in Scotland who offers services to a range of clients and supports on a variety of projects. This is an opportunity for an experienced estimator with a diverse background who has experience working on a range of different projects.
Job Overview:
We are currently recruiting for an Estimator to provide support to the Senior Estimator on a range of projects due to our clients' consistent growth. This is a fantastic opportunity to work across a broad range of projects, from domestic to commercial settings.
This role is best suited to someone with a solid foundation of estimating experience, who enjoys variety, and who’s ready to take ownership of their work in a busy, supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Senior Estimator in pricing and preparing tender submissions
Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates across a range of domestic and commercial projects
Analyse drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive estimates
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather pricing and project information
Support the delivery of competitive tenders and ensure deadlines are met
Maintain strong attention to detail when reviewing project requirements and cost
Requirements:
Proven experience as an Estimator within construction
Broad estimating knowledge across a range of project types
Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail
Organised, with the ability to manage multiple tenders/projects at once
A collaborative team player with good communication skills
Comfortable in a mid-level role
