You will be working as part of the therapy team and the wider Multidisciplinary Team supporting patients to return home as soon as possible by providing timely and regular therapy interventions maximising their chances of staying at home. You will be an excellent team worker with knowledge across a range of physiotherapy treatments.
Main duties of the job: To provide therapeutic assessment, management and treatment of patients in a variety of wards within the hospital setting. Focusing interventions to a wide variety of clinical cases across the Acute hospital wards, applying Physiotherapy knowledge and skills.
There will be a strong focus on facilitating discharges home, or to other care pathways and supporting patients into the outpatient community setting. You should possess excellent communication, prioritisation and organisational skills; and have experience in working in a multidisciplinary team.
Person Specification:
* Diploma / degree in Physiotherapy.
* Registered with Healthcare Professions Council (HCPC).
* A levels or equivalent qualification.
* Good standard of general education including GCSE Maths and English grade C and above.
* Evidence of CPD including recent post graduate training relevant to clinical speciality.
Experience:
* Demonstrates clinical experience enabling the post holder to manage a caseload of patients within this speciality / within the NHS with experience of elderly and frail elderly, respiratory, neurological and musculoskeletal conditions.
* Experience of working on a physiotherapy on-call service.
* Experience of working with student physiotherapists and assistants.
