Property Manager - North Region

Location: North
Malmaison and Hotel du Vin have 37 boutique hotels across the UK. This position supports 18 properties in the North Region from Manchester to Aberdeen. Regular travel between sites is required, with potential assignments in other regions based on business needs.
We seek a Property Manager to oversee property management, maintenance, and operational performance, focusing on high-quality facilities aligned with strategic objectives, including ESG initiatives. Reporting to the Property Director, the role involves leading Maintenance Managers and teams, managing vendor relationships, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and supporting asset performance and sustainability initiatives.
The role includes providing operational and administrative support, acting as a liaison between internal teams and external stakeholders such as finance, development managers, and contractors. Maintaining high standards of property performance, safety, and guest satisfaction is essential.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee maintenance, repair, and operational activities to ensure quality, safety, and compliance.
2. Lead and develop Maintenance Managers and their teams, promoting safety and efficiency.
3. Manage relationships with contractors and suppliers, ensuring contractual adherence.
4. Assist in managing budgets, tracking expenditures, and identifying cost savings.
5. Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, conducting regular audits.
6. Support energy efficiency, waste reduction, and sustainability initiatives aligned with ESG targets.
7. Support crisis management and business continuity plans.
8. Collaborate on asset maintenance, refurbishment, and capital projects.
9. Provide performance reports and maintain communication with stakeholders.
10. Stay updated on legislation, regulations, and industry best practices.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Experience in property or facilities management, preferably in hospitality.
* Leadership experience with teams and vendors.
* Knowledge of building systems, safety regulations, and compliance standards.
* Budget management and negotiation skills.
* Understanding of construction, Hard FM, and project management.
* Experience with sustainability practices and ESG considerations.
* Familiarity with facilities management software such as CAFM.
* Qualifications in facilities management, health and safety, or related fields.
* Proactive with process improvements and automation.
* Willingness to travel nationally and eligible to work in the UK.
