Multi Skilled Engineer
£55,000 - £60,000 + Vehicle + Benefits inc. Bonus
Scotland
If keeping complex kit running smoothly gives you a buzz, and fault-finding is your superpower, you're exactly who we want to talk to.
A major UK brand is investing heavily in keeping their automated kit running at full tilt. They're looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to keep their high-throughput systems firing on all cylinders across a cluster of sites in the Edinburgh & Glasgow regions.
This isn't a factory-floor, stand-by-the-panel job. It's a roaming, autonomy-heavy engineering role where you run your patch, solve problems fast, and keep mission-critical equipment online for a business that moves millions of parcels a day.
What You'll Be Doing
* Getting hands-on with fast-moving automated sortation equipment. That's electrical, mechanical, and everything in between.
* Diagnosing & fixing breakdowns at pace (you'll never be bored).
* Delivering PPM on equipment that simply cannot fail.
* Using SCADA & control systems to get to the root of faults quickly.
* Working across multiple depots, partnering with Ops, IT, and Security to keep the network moving.
* Owning your region — planning, organising, and delivering without someone breathing down your neck.
What You'll Need
* A recognised engineering apprenticeship or HNC/HND-level qualification (electrical bias preferred).
* Strong experience in an automated environment.
* Real multi-skilling across both electrical and mechanical.
* Strong fault-finding ability.
* A calm head, a resilient approach, and a team-focused attitude.
* A full UK driving licence (you'll be covering several sites).
Why This Is Worth Your Time
You'll be joining a business that genuinely invests in its engineering function, with benefits and opportunities to match:
* Up to £60k salary + bonus + Vehicle
* Enhanced family leave packages
* 4x salary life cover
* Retail discounts including supermarket savings
* Milestone days off for the big moments
* Career progression in a company that promotes from within
* Training, development, and genuine long-term security
This is a role for engineers who want ownership, not micromanagement. Pace, variety, responsibility, and kit you'll actually enjoy working on.
If you're ready to join a powerhouse that keeps the UK moving, hit apply. This one is worth a conversation.
