As part of an experienced, supportive and dedicated team - you will be acting as a link, support, encourager and conduit between the council, partners and the community to help provide more positive outcomes for our communities. You will work closely with the Voluntary and Community Sector, Parish Councils and other partners to help untap community potential, facilitate local projects and engage with local partners. Due to the amount of growth in the Borough, you will also work with the community through the development process. Key areas of work will also involve addressing health inequalities and community issues, opportunities and projects. You will also help build positive relationships, trust and resilience in the community. To enable us to work closely in our communities, the team is split into three areas with a Community and Place Development Officer in each patch. Based in the office, at home, but also within the community - you will be mainly working in the North West of Tewkesbury Borough including Tewkesbury, Northway, Twyning, Ashchurch, Ashleworth, Deerhurst and surrounding villages. You will have excellent communications skills, enjoy working in partnership and have lots of enthusiasm to make a difference.
