Are you an experienced leader with a passion for providing exceptional care to autistic young people with complex needs?

We are seeking a Registered Manager to guide our team, upholding the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and achieving positive outcomes for the young people in our care. Main duties of the job

As a Registered Manager, you will be at the forefront of our residential care services, leading a team of Care Managers and Assistant Care Managers to ensure the safety, wellbeing, and development of the autistic young people in our care.

You will work closely with theExecutiveteam to meetOfstedrequirements and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. Your leadership will be instrumental in driving improvements, delivering high-quality care, and maintaining an outstanding standard of safeguarding practice.

You will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of care and learning programs, ensuring that they are tailored to meet individual needs, and supporting the recruitment, training, and development of a dedicated care team. Collaboration with our Learning teams will be key to achieving the best outcomes for the young people we support.


About us

Prior's Court was set up by Founding Patron Dame Stephanie Shirley, whose vision of a centre of excellence for children with autism became reality with the opening of Prior's Court School in 1999. We have since grown to support around 90 young people with autism aged between 5-25 years with the opening of Prior's Court Young Adult Provision in 2011.Since opening, our support team has grown from around 20 to 500 and we have built a reputation as a leading edge educational, vocational, and residential facility for young people with autism. We are situated on 50 acres of parkland with various facilities including accommodation for our young people, a school with a wide range of facilities and offices

We're looking for caring, patient, fun people from all backgrounds to join our teams working with autistic young people with complex needs. Whether you have experience in a care environment, or don't have experience but have a passion to help transform the lives of the young people at Prior's Court - we'd love to hear from you.


Job responsibilities

* Lead and inspire the Care Managers, ensuring they deliver high-quality care, safeguarding, and learning outcomes for all young people.
* Ensure compliance with Ofsted standards and Childrens Homes Regulations (2015).
* Oversee the implementation of individual care plans, including "This Is Me" and skill development plans, ensuring progress is tracked and outcomes are met.
* Manage resources effectively to ensure that staff are supported and that care programs are delivered successfully.
* Foster a culture of continuous improvement, mentoring and developing the care team through regular performance reviews and training.
* Collaborate with Learning teams to ensure integrated care and learning programmes, usingPrior Approachautism tools and techniques.
* Take a lead role in safeguarding, including acting as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), and ensuring that all safeguarding policies and procedures are adhered to.
* Manage the day-to-day operations of the Childrens Homes, including overseeing staffing levels, casework, risk management, and child protection matters.
* Contribute to the development of the strategic direction for residential services and support theExecutiveteam with continuous improvement initiatives.


Person Specification


Experience

* Minimum of 3 years experience in Management of a team, ideally within a care setting.
* Experience as a Registered Manager for Ofsted is essential.
* Strong background in providing care to young people with complex autism and learning disabilities.
* Trained in safeguarding vulnerable children and adults, with experience as a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)


Qualifications

* Diploma Level 5 in Leadership and Management or equivalent (required).

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.

£60,000 to £75,000 a yearper annum depending on qualifications and experience
