If you already hold a level 2 or 3 from college you may still be eligible.
At Oak Farm we provide individually tailored care for up to 19 horses. From yearlings, to ex racehorses, child ponies to competition horses. You will be calm and hard working and ready to learn about all aspects of running a successful yard.
Duties will include, but not limited to;
* Turning out and bringing in
* Mucking out
* Feeding, watering and haying
* Grooming
* Clipping and trimming
* Maintaining the cleanliness of the yard at all times
* Bandaging
* Tacking up
* Lunging/long reining
* Opportunity to ride for the right candidate and to groom at shows

* Must have some prior experience with horses and show this on application

Desired qualifications
* GCSE's, or equivalents, desired but not essential.
* If applicants already holds a level 2 in equine a level 3 is available. Must not hold Level 3 or higher in equine.
Future prospects
* Employment within the organisation if a position is available.
Training
* Full training to be provided by the employer and KEITS at the place of employment. The applicant will be working towards a Level 2 or 3 Equine Groom apprenticeship.
* The learner will be allocated an industry specific training consultant who will provide both remote and on site visits throughout the apprenticeship.
* The apprentice will work towards an End Point Assessment (EPA) at the end of their apprenticeship.
Things to consider
* We are out in all weathers and on our feet for most of the day.
* The apprentice will be working to build a portfolio of evidence and will be required to pass a knowledge test and an End Point Assessment (EPA) to complete the apprenticeship.
