We're hiring a Service Technician / Car Mechanic in Haywards Heath to join a busy and friendly independent workshop.
This role suits either an experienced technician or a junior vehicle technician with around 2 years' workshop experience who wants to develop their skills in a supportive environment.

The Role – Service Technician / Car Mechanic
As a Service Technician / Car Mechanic, you'll support the workshop team with servicing, maintenance, and mechanical work across a variety of vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
• Routine vehicle servicing and basic mechanical repairs
• Tyre fitting, puncture repairs, and wheel balancing
• Assisting with brakes, suspension, batteries, and exhausts
• Vehicle inspections and health checks
• Using diagnostic tools (training provided)
• Maintaining accurate job records
• Keeping the workshop clean and organised
Working Hours
Monday to Friday: 8:00am – 5:30pm
30-minute lunch plus two 15-minute breaks
Saturday work on a rota basis
What We're Looking For
• Experience as a Service Technician, Car Mechanic, or Junior Vehicle Technician
• Around 2 years' workshop experience preferred
• Reliable, hands-on, and eager to learn
• Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
• Positive team-player attitude
