The Division of Cardiovascular Sciences within the Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health at the University of Manchester wishes to appoint a laboratory-based Research Associate for an exciting project exploring novel treatments for Catecholaminergic Polymorphic Ventricular Tachycardia (CPVT) and factors influencing its clinical penetrance.
Responsibilities include:
* Conducting in vivo studies using mouse models of CPVT
* Performing in vitro studies on tissue slices and isolated single cells from hearts expressing CPVT-causing mutations
* Studying cardiomyocytes derived from stem cells from CPVT patients
