Our client is recruiting for a skilled Environmental Specialist to join their project team in the Integrated Gas, Downstream & Upstream sector. Role will deivery Impact Accessments across the project portfolio based on Regulatory and internal standards (brownfield, greenfield, energy transition and non-operted portfolio).
Role Overview
* Conduct timely assessments of project environmental risks using robust methodologies in line with company standards and UK legislation.
* Advise on credible risk management solutions for priority environmental risks associated with projects and developments.
* Transfer identified risks and controls into Project Execute and Operate, including new permit conditions.
* Develop scopes of work for contractor support and manage contractors in preparing permit applications and environmental assessments.
* Serve as Impact Assessment Lead with support from Subject Matter Experts.
* Engage with environmental regulators at the project level.
* Conduct assurance activities to ensure compliance with company and legal requirements.
* Facilitate incident investigations and support internal and regulatory reporting for projects.
Skills & Qualifications
* Environmental Risk Assessment: Proficient in assessing environmental risks.
* Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of UK regulatory frameworks (onshore and offshore).
* Project Management: Experience in managing projects and contractor relationships.
Education & Experience
* Degree in a relevant subject or industry qualification.
* Strong experience in UK regulatory frameworks and environmental Projects & Development support.
