Regional Scheduling Team Leader
Location: Ross on Wye
Working closely with the Scheduling Supervisor, the Regional Lead Scheduler will deliver high-quality coordination, resource planning, and administration to support effective regional contract delivery and continuous improvement.
You’ll take ownership of scheduling across your region, ensuring the right people are in the right place at the right time. You’ll be the central link between field technicians, regional operations, management, and clients, balancing planned maintenance with fast-moving reactive demands. This is a high-visibility role where your decisions directly affect service delivery, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
You will support the maintenance of our planning systems, ensuring resource accuracy, data integrity, and safety compliance. This will include creating optimised routes, managing regional coverage gaps, resolving scheduling conflicts, and collaborating with your peers to ensure monthly operational targets are consistently achieved or exceeded.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Create and manage regional schedules using in-house planning software, optimising engineer routes to reduce mileage and maximize productive time on site.
* Coordinate regional resource allocation, ensuring fully trained field staff are deployed effectively while maintaining full coverage for holidays, sickness, and other absences.
* Act as the key liaison between regional operational teams, management, corporate clients, and field technicians - handling inquiries and providing clear, timely updates.
* Dynamically adjust operational schedules in real time to seamlessly accommodate emergency reactive and compliance works when required.
* Raise, log, and prioritise incoming work requests, schedule planned preventative maintenance, and track necessary follow-up actions.
* Proactively resolve logistical issues, address deployment conflicts, and deliver rapid, sustainable solutions to complex scheduling challenges.
* Collaborate closely with other Regional Lead Schedulers and support the wider central scheduling team to ensure monthly regional targets are met.
* Work closely with Regional Supervisors and Account Managers to ensure data consistency, alignment across contracts, and compliance with strict client SLAs.
* Maintain high levels of data accuracy and integrity within the scheduling system, ensuring all data entry complies with company standards.
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience working as a senior scheduler, planner, or logistics coordinator within a fast-paced, field-based service environment.
* Strong experience as a key user of in-house planning software, workforce management systems, or automated routing tools.
* Advanced organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to balance complex planned workloads with sudden reactive demands.
* High levels of commercial awareness, with a track record of optimising field itineraries to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.
* Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to influence and liaise across multiple regional teams.
* A solution-focused, proactive approach to problem-solving, with excellent attention to detail and strong data accuracy skills.
