Hours of work:
8. Mon – Fri (9.00am – 5.00pm)
Main duties:
9. To teach a range of practical sheep and cattle skills to Level 2 and 3 students, as specified in the course programme. Skills to include weighing, dosing, injecting and tagging stock and selecting animals for slaughter.
10. To assess student competence in a range of practical sheep and cattle skills to Level 2 and 3 students. Skills to include weighing, dosing, injecting and tagging stock and selecting animals for slaughter.
11. To complete all appropriate documentation relating to each instruction and assessment session as required.
12. To record/evaluate learner performance and provide feedback.
13. To undertake required training as prescribed by Course Awarding Bodies, funding agencies, DAERA, CAFRE
14. To undertake all other duties as assigned by line manager.
15. To attend FE Team meetings.
The applicant must possess a minimum of a:
Level 3 qualification or work-based Level 3 qualification in Agriculture (livestock).
Or
A National Diploma/Extended Diploma Level 3 qualification in Agriculture
AND
Practical experience of working with beef and sheep livestock.
An Enhanced Access NI application will be required during registration.
