This is an exciting opportunity to join the Finance Systems team at apetito during a period of significant digital growth and automation. The team plays a key role in supporting and improving the systems that underpin our finance operations. This role would suit someone with experience supporting finance systems who is looking to take the next step in their career. You will work closely with a Finance team of around 35 colleagues to improve processes, implement new solutions and increase automation across the business. The role offers opportunities to lead smaller but impactful initiatives to drive efficiencies and improvements within the Finance department, while also contributing to wider group projects alongside Finance, IT and external partners. Provide the day-to-day support for Finance tools and systems, including but not limited to Zellis HR & Payroll, SAP Concur Expense and SoftCo Purchase to Pay, PRISM, SAP Ariba, Adyen, Stripe and EDI solutions Provide proactive support to the finance team to assist in improving ways of working through training and developing existing solutions. Notably looking for automation and moving away from Excel. Develop own technical skills through on the job learning and self-study. Support the Finance Systems Manager and finance team with queries and to continually challenge and look of ways to improve ways of working. Help the Finance Systems Manager act as a bridge between finance and the IT development team to develop new products and tools Support the Finance Systems Manager to represent finance on company project teams where some IT understanding is required Work with other teams within finance to learn processes and support delivery of finance goals overall. Supporting the Payroll Time and Attendance solution, acting as a key point of contact for technical queries Essential: Strong Excel skills A knowledge of Power BI or alternative Business Intelligence tools such as Business object, Tableau or Cognos Experience working with finance systems or ERP systems (e.g. SAP) Understanding of how finance systems support business processes Experience supporting users of business systems Experience contributing to system improvements or implementations At least 18 months’ experience in a relevant role (finance systems, finance operations, or business systems support) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders High level of integrity and attention to detail Well organised with strong time management skills Desirable: Adaptable to change quickly and positively, accepts new ideas and looks for the positives in new situations. Learning and development - makes use of day-to-day experiences to further their understanding of the role and looks to gain relevant training where possible. Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP Experience supporting system implementations Experience creating dashboards or reports using Business Intelligence tools (Power BI, Business Objects, Tableau, Cognos) Experience working in a finance or accounting environment Exposure to automation or process improvement initiatives NB: The role will be based at our Trowbridge office for 3 days per week but may involve travel to support the business.
