Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant
Do you have a psychology degree and want hands-on experience supporting pupils with Autism in KS2? Are you ready to deliver focused 1:1 and small group support that removes barriers to learning?
* Immediate start until July 2026
* £80 - £100 per day
* 3-form entry primary school, Hall Green
Role
As a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant, you'll work with KS2 pupils with Autism to build confidence, communication, and independence. You'll deliver tailored interventions, regulate routines, use visual supports, and record progress against targets. You'll collaborate with class teachers, the SENCO, and parents to ensure consistent strategies in class and during transitions.
Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 and small group support across KS2 for pupils with Autism
* Deliver tailored interventions and adapt resources to individual needs
* Regulate routines and use visual supports to aid learning
* Record progress against targets and contribute to pupil progress reviews
* Collaborate with class teachers, the SENCO, and parents to ensure consistent strategies in class and during transitions
Requirements
* Degree - A 2:2 or above in any subject
* Communication - Clear and confident verbal and written communication
* Enhanced DBS - Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate
* Desire to work in education/with children - Strong interest in SEN and pupil wellbeing
* Experience working with children - Any relevant experience such as SEN support, mentoring, or volunteering is desirable but not essential
