Early Years Assistant - fixed term until 26/06/
Leith Walk Primary School

Salary: £25, - £26, (pro-rata for part-time and Sessional)
Hours: 30 per week, 39 weeks sessional

Working pattern: Monday to Thursday 8am to 3pm (with a 30 minute unpaid break) and Friday 8:30am to 12:30pm (with no break).

Leith Walk Primary School Nursery is looking for an empathetic Early Years Assistant to join our talented Nursery team. The successful individual will support learners with ASN.

Leith Walk Primary School is one of the oldest primary schools in Edinburgh, dating back to. The school enjoys extensive links with nearby cluster schools and the local, wider community. The Senior Leadership Team consists of a Head Teacher, a Deputy Head Teacher, Principal Teacher and a Business Manager.

We enjoy a successful partnership with our Parent Council which is open to all parents. The corridors and the classrooms offer a bright, attractive environment for our pupils. The building is subject to continuous on-going improvement of facilities.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. Anunconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
