An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Resuscitation Service for a band 8a Deputy Resuscitation Service Lead We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic registered health care professional who is keen to develop the Resuscitation Service within this large multi sited organisation..
Main duties of the job
Provide expert clinical intervention for service users who are at risk of clinical deterioration and cardiac arrest. Subject Matter Expert for resuscitation. Support the delivery of all resuscitation training from basic to advanced to the multi disciplinary team. Working directly with the Resuscitation Service Lead adopting an integrated approach between resuscitation and other teams within the education academy and wider teams. To ensure that robust systems and processes are implemented. Using evidence based practice to guide resuscitation training and improve patient safety. Operational management of the resuscitation team members as delegated by the Resuscitation Service Lead to ensure the team functions as an experienced, helpful resource to all staff within the Trust. To attend relevant trust-wide committees offering specialist advice and support. In conjunction with the Resuscitation Service Lead working with the Deputy Director for Education Academy to ensure that resuscitation training meets national standards. Support the Resuscitation Service Lead to ensure there are sufficient resuscitation training programs to enable staff to maintain compliance to acceptable standard for their role. To be a part of the continuous audit and review of the Trust resuscitation service, evaluate outcomes and respond to clinical risk issues as needed.

Essential criteria
1. Demonstrable operational management experience in the health service with experience of managing groups of staff.
2. Evidence of leadership experience.
3. Clinical practice with autonomous practice and wide ranging experience in all aspects of resuscitation
4. Significant experience of working as a Resuscitation Officer/Senior Resuscitation Officer.
Desirable criteria
5. Experience of designing audits.
