Description
The Inside Sales Clerk is responsible for the day-to-day tasks involved with pricing Import and Export LCL quotes, and communications with our clients, origin offices, agents, and vendors to achieve our ultimate goal – customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
* Price Import and Export LCL quotes and communicate with clients, origin offices, agents, and vendors to ensure customer satisfaction.
* Follow up for quotes over 5cbm and USA by phone; under 5cbm, follow up via email. Follow-up to be completed and reported within 24 hours of quoting.
* Manage Load Plans daily, identify containers loading within 48-72 hours, note destinations, and identify enquiries from clients regarding CBM and readiness to move.
* Contact clients for quotes of 10cbm+ or new/unrecognized accounts to gather additional information prior to quoting.
* Send secured bookings to the customer service team with all necessary information.
* Call “New Log In” accounts to identify potential business and assess account suitability for access.
* Make a minimum of one sales call per day, log the call in the company CRM, and record pipeline, sales leads, and relevant materials.
* Assist Field Sales with direct leads and potential client visits as needed.
* Answer and promptly return client and vendor phone calls and voicemails daily.
* Forward all claims-related intents to the Claims Department within 24 hours.
* Note: Duties may be modified at any time by the department manager and/or management.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
* Experience in pricing Import and Export LCL quotes and effective communication with clients, offices, agents, and vendors.
* Proven follow-up skills for quotes and inquiries.
* Ability to manage load plans and identify container statuses.
* Experience in contacting and qualifying new accounts, and booking management.
* Strong communication skills, including making sales calls and CRM logging.
* Ability to assist field sales and handle client/vendor communications efficiently.
* Timely forwarding of claims and adherence to company procedures.
