Location: Bishopbriggs, G64 3QH Role Type: Monday to Friday 08:00am-10:00am Hours: 10 hours per week Salary:£13.45 per hour plus Sodexo benefits About the Role We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaning Operative to join our team. You will play a key role in ensuring a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for our clients while delivering services in line with company standards and contractual requirements. Key Responsibilities Carry out cleaning duties across all designated areas to the highest standards, including periodic and deep cleaning tasks Ensure all cleaning activities are delivered in line with client contracts and service level agreements Safely use cleaning chemicals in accordance with COSHH regulations Operate cleaning equipment correctly and report any faults immediately Maintain cleanliness and organisation of cleaning stores and equipment Use appropriate safety signage (e.g. wet floor signs) and promote a safe working environment Monitor stock levels and report shortages to management Comply with all health, safety, environmental, and security regulations Provide cover for colleagues during absence when required Report hazards, incidents, or irregularities promptly Attend training sessions and team meetings as required Compliance & Standards Follow all company HR policies and procedures, including attendance reporting and performance processes Adhere to purchasing and operational procedures Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety, COSHH, hygiene, and fire regulations Demonstrate company values: Service Spirit, Team Spirit, and Spirit of Progress What We’re Looking For Previous cleaning experience (preferred) Knowledge of cleaning standards and compliance environments Understanding of health and safety practices, including COSHH Strong attention to detail and time management skills Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team Flexible and adaptable approach to changing business needs Relevant qualifications such as NVQ or BICS (desirable) Key Outcomes High standards of cleanliness and hygiene consistently maintained Positive feedback from clients and customers Full compliance with company and statutory regulations Why Sodexo?
