Job title: Spa & Leisure Receptionist/Attendant.
Position reports to: Assistant Spa & Leisure Manager and Head of Spa & Leisure.
Location: Aldwark Manor Estate, Aldwark, Nr. Alne, York, YO61 1UF
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week
Salary: £12.30 per hour or over

Aldwark Manor Estate is a privately owned hotel with golf nestled in a picturesque village between York and Harrogate. Set in 200 acres of beautiful countryside, this luxury hotel offers a complete escape for both business and leisure guests and is a popular wedding venue.
Recently, the hotel has undergone major renovations, including the bedrooms, restaurant, lounge, sports bar, and public areas. This year, we are launching a new spa, state-of-the-art leisure areas, and new meeting rooms, with additional bedrooms opening in 2026.

Main purpose of the role: To ensure that Spa & Leisure guests are welcomed warmly and that the facilities are maintained to the highest standards.
Main duties include:
* Providing high-quality customer service to residents and leisure guests from pre-arrival to departure.
* Assisting with Spa reception duties, including guest meet and greet, orientation, check-in and check-out, payment processing, and handling internal inquiries regarding services and bookings.
* Maintaining hygiene, cleanliness, and tidiness in the leisure area.
* Following opening and closing procedures of the department.
* Assisting with cleaning and light maintenance of equipment.
* Upholding personal hygiene standards.
* Monitoring and controlling the pool in accordance with maintenance guidelines.
* Handling cash and cashing up at the end of shifts.
* Conducting pool and spa water tests and taking corrective actions if necessary.
* Providing refreshments to spa, hotel, and leisure guests.
* Ensuring sufficient towels, robes, and slippers are available throughout the day.
* Regularly checking changing rooms for cleanliness and managing laundry.
* Performing poolside checks to ensure cleanliness and equipment functionality.
