We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Shift Clerk to join our Customs Insights team in Dover. As a Senior Shift Clerk, you will play a crucial role in overseeing our customs clearance operations and ensuring smooth and efficient processes.
Shift pattern: 4 on 4 off (Day 1 & 2 0700 – 1900, Day 3 & 4 1900 – 0700)
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervising a shift team in the absence of the shift supervisor.
* Ensuring all tasks assigned to the shift team are completed in a compliant manner.
* Completing daily customs clearance work.
* Assisting customs clerks with paperwork completion.
* Processing amendments and correspondence to customs.
* Completing excise declarations.
* Supporting other operational duties as required.
What we're looking for:
1. Minimum 2 years experience.
2. In-depth knowledge of customs procedures and principles.
3. Strong proficiency in Excel spreadsheets.
4. Experience with customs clearance software.
5. Excellent IT literacy.
6. Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
