Role Overview
The Pre-Litigated File Handler will work within a team of fraud specialists and support staff, managing a caseload of pre-litigation cases involving various fraud types. The role involves working closely with the Team Leader and Lead Lawyer to achieve optimal results, requiring adherence to processes and a forensic, analytical approach to evidence. Commercial awareness regarding fixed fee work is essential. The role demands decisive decision-making within set timeframes, aligned with case strategies and client interests.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Excellence: Review evidence, set case strategies, identify litigation opportunities, and analyze client trends.
2. Client Excellence: Manage files per client guidelines, ensure satisfaction, and meet KPIs.
3. Technical Excellence: Coordinate investigations, meet procedural deadlines, protect client positions, delegate tasks, and maintain case systems.
4. Financial Excellence: Work efficiently within fixed fees, achieve financial targets, and ensure accurate billing.
5. Cultural Excellence: Uphold Keoghs values.
Working Hours
35 hours/week, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm, with 1 unpaid hour for lunch. Hybrid role based in Bolton, attending the office at least once a week.
Experience & Skills
* Experience handling pre-litigation cases; knowledge of MIB Agreements is desirable.
* Strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and IT skills.
* Ability to prioritize, work under pressure, and anticipate problems.
* Experience with time recording and billing systems.
